About Us

Sakura Ridge, The Farm and Lodge, which began as a modest log home in the middle of orchards in the shadow of Mt. Hood, enters its latest evolution following a full property renovation as Oregon’s newest luxury property. The certified organic farm and five-room lodge, which was purchased in 2021 by Nashi Orchards, is now open for reservations. The new Sakura Ridge offers an update on the legacy of this stunning destination that reflects the Hood River Valley.

The Lodge was updated with sustainability in mind. Materials like cork floors, paper stone countertops and Japanese limestone plaster were chosen to minimize the use of chemicals in the upkeep and last for a lifetime. Guest rooms feature an updated, fresh aesthetic with varied amenities ranging from stone soaking tubs to a private balcony with unparalleled Mt. Hood views, each featuring a vintage Japanese Tansu circa 1800-1900’s. Guests find sustainably sourced cherry Oregon-made beds, custom rugs, modern and traditional Japanese artwork, hand-made tiles, and materials that reflect craftsmanship and refined detail.

Located 15 minutes from the heart of Hood River, the lodge vibes continue to delight guests with long porches, huge logs, and the authenticity of a working farm. A breakfast using organic ingredients is created daily by our in-house Chef. Guests will have the opportunity to have a picnic to go in beautiful Nantucket baskets, accompanied with a bottle of Nashi Orchards cider or perry to pair with delicious snacks.

Menus feature fare sourced from the farm, with berries, seasonal produce and farm fresh eggs from the resident chickens. Guests are invited to meander the farm, gardens and orchards, and enjoy the breathtaking scenery while roaming the property. Established in 2011 on Vashon Island in Washington state, Nashi Orchards uses sustainable practices to grow the finest Asian and European pears and heirloom apples to handcraft award-winning cider and perry. With this recent growth into Hood River, Nashi Orchards will continue to run its orchards and production on Vashon Island and has already made an award-winning cider using organic Newtown Pippin apples from Sakura Ridge.

Sakura Ridge is located about an hour from the Portland International Airport and just 4.5 miles from Hood River’s Ken Jernstedt Airfield, with complimentary round trip airport transportation provided. Reservations are available Wednesday through Sunday.
