inspiration in Every detail

Guest rooms feature an updated, fresh aesthetic with unique aspects ranging from stone soaking tubs to a private balcony with unparalleled Mt. Hood views. Each room features a vintage Japanese Tansu circa 1800-1900’s, Aēsop® amenities and modern touches. Guests find sustainably sourced Oregon-grown cherrywood beds, custom rugs, modern and traditional Japanese artwork, hand-made tiles, and materials that reflect craftsmanship and refined detail.

The recent remodel was made with an eco-conscious frame of mind - it was imperative to us that the Lodge’s decor and amenities matched the ethos of the organic orchard that surrounds it. You’ll notice this in the choices made for the finishes, in the use of vintage furniture when possible rather than constructing new, and in the commitment to sustainable and low waste products.

UNWIND

The exquisite finishes in each room will help you decompress on your getaway; every choice ensuring comfort while reflecting our commitment to an eco-conscious way of life. Let yourself be embraced by Sferra® long-staple percale cotton linens on a Royal Pedic® cotton organic mattress with organic cotton duvets, the ideal combination of sustainability and luxury. And stocked in each room you’ll find beautiful Yves Delorme® cotton robes and towels, for a truly indulgent experience.

PAMPER

We adore details that transport you! Aēsop® body and hair products are made from the finest ingredients, with scents that connect you to our breathtaking environment. When you add that all products are vegan and certified sustainable, they are the perfect partner for Sakura Ridge. Our soaking tubs in the Orchard Suite and the River Room are furnished with Furo Fizz from WATO Soap, a wonderfully scented bath bomb made by a mother and daughter team based on an organic farm in Whidbey Island, WA.

FEAST

The Sakura Ridge Farm & Lodge offers an incredible culinary experience. Every room stay includes a breakfast freshly made by Chef Brennan Devoid, featuring seasonal, organic ingredients sourced from our farm as well as other Hood River Valley farms and producers. Breakfast is more than just a quick bite; it is time to enjoy the flavors of the season in a multi course experience with house baked pastries, freshly squeezed juice and a delicious entree of your choice.

After breakfast, Chef Brennan utilizes the harvest to offer treat-filled bento boxes, freshly baked cookie plates and full picnic lunches for two paired with Nashi Orchards’ cider or perry. For a truly unique experience, reserve our Chef’s Table for Two and enjoy dinner on a private balcony overlooking Mt. Hood. Our Packages page offers more details and information on pre-ordering these delectable items for your visit.

TOAST

The Hood River Valley and Columbia Gorge is famously fertile land, known for producing amazing apples, pears and grapes, as well as a variety of stone fruits. The lush valley and it’s historic orchards are what brought Sakura Ridge owners Cheryl Lubbert and Jim Gerlach to the property - a desire to own an organic orchard to better supply Nashi Orchards, their cidery based on Vashon Island, WA. Part of the magic of Sakura is the opportunity to stay on a working organic orchard, so enjoying a cider, perry or non-alcoholic perry made from fruit grown right here is special way to immerse yourself in this distinct destination.

In addition to Nashi Orchard selections, we have put together a thoughtful wine list that offers varied options from producers that we admire. Our focus is heavy on the Pacific Northwest, while also featuring wines from Italy and France. If you’d like to pre-order a bottle for your visit, you can see the full beverage list here.
