a farm first
Sakura Ridge Farm & Lodge is a luxury farm stay in Hood River, Oregon, set among nearly 4,000 certified organic apple and pear trees. The orchard shapes both the landscape and the experience, guiding how we cultivate, build, and welcome guests.

Rooted in the Orchard
Life follows the rhythm of the farm. Organic berries and vegetables are grown on site, compost returns nutrients to the soil, and kitchen scraps are shared with our hens. Seasonal harvests inform the kitchen, ensuring that what is served reflects what the land provides.
Materials & Craft
Throughout the lodge, sustainability and refinement exist in balance. Single-use plastics are intentionally absent. Reclaimed furnishings, antique rugs, and 18th- and 19th-century Japanese tansu are selected for their enduring craftsmanship. Reusable glass water bottles, durable Heath Ceramics, and refillable bath amenities reflect a commitment to longevity over disposability.

Sourced with Care
When new materials are required, we prioritize local and responsibly produced goods. Bed frames crafted from sustainably grown Oregon cherrywood, organic mattresses, biodegradable essentials, and locally handwoven textiles support regional makers while reducing environmental impact.
Built with Intention
Low-impact materials — including bamboo, cork, Paperstone, and Japanese limestone plaster — were chosen for both durability and environmental responsibility. Solar and geothermal systems support the lodge’s energy needs, reducing reliance on conventional power while maintaining a high standard of comfort.
A Shared Responsibility
At Sakura Ridge, care for the land is not an amenity. It is the foundation of every stay.
